Man Assaulted at Ashfield Station, Police Seek Help

CCTV footage has been released of a man who may be able to assist police following an assault at a railway station in Sydney's Inner West last year.

About 1.25pm on Thursday 6 November 2025, a 57-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by an unknown man at Ashfield Railway Station.

Following the incident, officers from the Police Transport Command were notified and commenced inquiries into the incident.

As investigations continue police have released CCTV footage of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, in his mid-30s, about 170cm, of thin build, with short brown hair and has a tattoo on the left side of his neck and a tattoo of letters on the right forearm.

The man was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, red t-shirt, black shorts and white shoes.

He also had a black pram in his possession with a young child.
