Man charged after threatening phone call made to office building in Sydney

A man has been charged after a threatening phone call was allegedly made to an office building in Sydney CBD yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 11.40am yesterday, emergency services were called to an office building on Lee Street, after a threatening phone call was allegedly made.

Officers from Sydney City Local Area Command evacuated the building as a precaution.

A short time later, a 27-year-old man was arrested outside the building.

A search was conducted of the building as a precaution before people were allowed to return.

The man was taken to Day Street Police Station where he was charged with give false information person/property in danger.

He was refused bail and is due to appear at Central Local Court today.
