Man charged and stolen property seized in Carisbrook

Goldfields Crime Investigation Unit detectives have recovered a large amount of allegedly stolen property after executing a warrant in Carisbrook last month.

Officers attended a property on Queen Street on 1 September following an investigation into drug trafficking.

A 43-year-old man from Carisbrook was arrested at the scene and the property was searched.

Police recovered a large amount of allegedly stolen property including power tools, motorcycles and a motorcycle trailer.

They also located drugs and a stolen firearm.

The Carisbrook man was interviewed and has been charged with 34 charges including possess drug of dependence, drug trafficking, possess firearm, possess ammunition, possess prohibited weapon and other related offences.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Bendigo Magistrates' Court on 12 October.

Investigators are still trying to identify owners for the allegedly stolen goods.
