A man will face the court charged after a search warrant in the State's west yesterday.
In early 2026, police attached to Orana Mid Western Police District commenced an investigation into the alleged cultivation of cannabis in the Clandulla area, about 65km southeast of Mudgee.
Following inquiries, about 11.40am yesterday (Wednesday 29 April 2026), officers executed a search warrant at a home on Mead Street, Clandulla.
At the home, police allegedly located and seized 3.4 kilograms of dried cannabis, 1.6 kilograms of cannabis products, and 15 mature plants.
A 60-year-old man was arrested at the home.
He was taken to Mudgee Police Station where he was charged with
- Two counts of possess prohibited drug,
- Cultivate prohibited plant more than small & less than or equal to indictable quantity, and
- Supply cannabis more than indictable and less than commercial quantity.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday 24 June 2026.
