Man charged following Dandenong laundromat assault

Dandenong police have charged a man following an assault outside a Dandenong laundromat last month, Victoria Police say.

The victim was in the Ingrid Street business when another man allegedly started verbally abusing him about 1.10pm on 23 July.

The man was allegedly punched to the face after demands for his mobile phone were made.

The victim sustained bruising to his face but didn’t require hospital treatment.

A 24-year-old Springvale man has been charged with attempted robbery, unlawful assault and commit offences whilst on bail.

He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrate’s Court tomorrow (18 August).
