Man Charged for Armed Robberies Spree in Inner West

A 28-year-old man has been charged in relation to a string of armed robberies in Sydney's inner West.

Around 8pm on Monday 13 November 2023, at a home on Livingstone Road, Marrickville, two men allegedly entered a property and threatened the occupant before leaving with cash.

About 30 minutes later, police were called to a business on Hercules Street, Ashfield, after two men allegedly stole a number of items and cash.

A short time later, two men approached a man and a woman in Forest Street, Forest Lodge, where they allegedly assaulted the man and fled with the woman's personal belongings.

Detectives attached to Inner West Police Area Command commenced investigations into the incidents.

Following extensive inquiries, about 8:30am yesterday (Thursday 14 December 2023) a 28-year-old man was arrested at Marrickville and taken to Surry Hills police station.

He was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon (two counts) and robbery in company cause wounding (one count).

He was refused bail and will appear in Newtown Local Court today (Friday 15 December 2023).
