A man will face court over an alleged assault in Sydney's west in February this year.
In February 2026, officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command established Strike Force Annable and commenced an investigation into an assault on Oxford Street, Cambridge Park, about 5pm on Friday 13 February 2026.
Police were told three men assaulted a 15-year-old teenage boy and left the scene in a black Hyundai sedan.
The boy was taken to a hospital in a stable condition. He has since been discharged.
As a part of an investigation, on Thursday 26 February 2026, detectives released CCTV images to speak to three men who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
Following inquiries, about 2.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 31 March 2026), police stopped the black Hyundai sedan at the intersection of Castlereagh Road and Andrews Road, Penrith and arrested the driver - a 21-year-old man.
He was taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent and supply prohibited drug more than small and less than or equal to indictable quantity.
He was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today (Wednesday 1 April 2026).
