Man charged over drug, cash and vape seizures

Detectives from the Criminal Proceeds Squad have charged a man after seizing a cache of various drugs, approximately 10,000 vapes and a significant quantity of cash in Melbourne overnight.

Police had been executing a warrant at the Spencer Street address in relation to a separate investigation when they located the alleged bounty of drugs laid out inside the property.

A 31-year-old Melbourne man was charged with two counts of traffick drug of dependence, five counts of possess drug of dependence, deal with proceeds of crime, unauthorised possession of a schedule 4 poison and unauthorised supply of a schedule 4 poison.

He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court at a later date.

Police seized various quantities of what appear to be ketamine, cocaine, ecstasy, cannabis, mushrooms, blue crystals and an unidentified white powder, as well as approximately 10,000 Nicotine vapes, a significant quantity of cash and a number of electronic scales from the address.

The investigation remains ongoing.
