Man charged over indecent assault on train, NSW

A man has been charged over an alleged indecent assault on a train in Sydney, NSW Police say.

About 7.45am on Wednesday (10 October 2018), a 22-year-old woman was travelling on a train from Parramatta to Central. Sitting next to her was a 41-year-old man who has allegedly indecently assaulted her.

As the woman got up to move, the man allegedly indecently assaulted her further.

The incident was reported to police from Police Transport Command, who commenced an investigation.

About 7.10am today (Friday 12 October 2018), the man was arrested by police at Penrith Railway Station.

He was charged with one count of assault with act of indecency and granted conditional bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Tuesday 16 October 2018.
