Man charged over indecent assault on train, NSW

A man has been charged following investigations into an alleged indecent assault of a teenage boy south of Sydney last month, NSW Police say.

About 4pm on Saturday 25 March 2017, a 17-year-old boy was travelling on a train between Cronulla and Como when a man allegedly approached and indecently assaulted him.

The teen stopped the man before exiting the train at Como where he contacted police.

Officers from Police Transport Command commenced investigations into the incident under Operation Artemis.

About 4pm today, following investigations, Police Transport Command officers arrested a 43-year-old man at Caringbah railway station.

He was charged with indecent assault, and was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Thursday 11 May 2017.
