A man has been charged following an investigation into offensive behaviour on a pedestrian bridge at Bondi Beach today.
Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command and Operation Shelter commenced an investigation after receiving complaints about the actions of a man on the Campbell Parade bridge about 3pm (Friday 9 October 2026).
Police were told the man allegedly hung a flag from the bridge and performed offensive hand gestures.
Following inquiries, police arrested a 53-year-old man who was taken to Surry Hills Police Station.
He was charged with behave in offensive manner in/near public place/school.
The man was refused bail and will appear before Bail Division Court 7 tomorrow (Saturday 10 October 2026).
