Man charged over stolen goods and firearm, NSW

A man has been charged after police allegedly located stolen items and a firearm in a hotel in St Marys yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 10am yesterday, police from St Marys Local Area Command searched a room in a hotel on the Great Western Highway.

Police will allege they seized several fraudulent identification documents, credit cards and personal identification cards which were allegedly stolen.

A shortened shotgun and drug paraphernalia was also allegedly seized.

A 38-year-old man was arrested at the hotel and taken to Penrith Police Station.

He was charged with goods in custody, fraud offences and possess shortened firearm without authority.

The man was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today.
