Man charged over wounding at Forestdale, QLD

Detectives from the Logan District Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a man after a 38-year-old woman was slashed with a knife at a house at Forestdale yesterday afternoon, Queensland Police say.

It is alleged around 12pm a man and woman, known to each other, were involved in an argument at the Dickman Road residence when the woman sustained a deep laceration to her upper arm.

The woman was transported to the Princess Alexandra hospital for surgery to her injury which is not considered life-threatening.

A 35-year-old Forestdale man has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

He is expected to appear before the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
