Man charged with four counts of indecent assault, NSW

A man will face court today after allegedly indecently assaulting women in the state’s west, NSW Police say.

Between May and June 2018, a man allegedly indecently assaulted five women on separate occasions in Broken Hill.

Police will allege the man approached the women in the street or within businesses, before indecently assaulting them.

Officers from Barrier Police District were notified and commenced an investigation.

Following extensive inquiries, police arrested a 33-year-old man yesterday (Thursday 14 June 2018).

He was taken to Broken Hill Police Station where he was charged with four counts of assault with act of indecency, three counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm, and common assault.

The man was refused bail to appear in Broken Hill Local Court today (Friday 15 June 2018).

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak with anyone who may have information.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
