Man Charged With Gun, Drug Offenses

A man will face court today, charged with multiple weapon and drug offences following an investigation in the state's Central West.

In July 2025, Rural Crime investigators from Central West Police District established Strike Force Lakewood to investigate alleged firearms thefts from a rural property in Orange in December 2024.

Following extensive inquiries, at about 6.30am yesterday (Wednesday 25 March 2026), investigators, with assistance from Riverstone Police Area Command Proactive Crime Team, Dog Squad and the North West Metropolitan Operational Support Group, executed a search warrant at a property on Nagle Way, Quakers Hill.

During a search of the property, police allegedly located and seized 156g of cocaine, 105g of methylamphetamine, 266g of cannabis leaf, 25 differing vials of testosterone and 10g of an unknown substance suspected to be heroin packaged in balloons.

Further items seized included $2040 cash, electronic devices and items associated with drug supply.

A 33-year-old man was arrested and taken to Riverstone Police Station where he was charged with:

  • Supply prohibited drug > indictable <$5000
  • Fail to comply digital evidence access order direction, and
  • Possess prohibited drug (two counts)

He was refused bail and is due to appear before Blacktown Local Court today (Thursday 26 March 2026).
