Man charged with high-range drink driving twice in one day in Windsor

Police have charged a man after he was allegedly caught drink-driving twice in one afternoon at Windsor yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 1.35pm today, a 48-year-old man was driving a vehicle on Wilberforce Road, Wilberforce, when he was pulled over at a stationary RBT site.

Police will allege he provided a positive breath test and was placed under arrest.

He was taken to Windsor Police Station where he provided a breath analysis reading of 0.214.

His licence was suspended and he was charged with high-range PCA.

About 4.45pm the same day, police were called to Putty Road due to concerns for a man walking dangerously on the road and appeared to be affected by alcohol.

Officers recognised the 48-year-old man and conveyed him to his home address.

Soon after officers will allege they saw the same man driving his vehicle again on Wilberforce Road.

He was pulled over and breath tested where he again provided a positive reading.

He was arrested and taken back to Windsor Police Station where he provided a breath analysis reading of .270.

He was charged for the second time with high-range PCA, and driving while suspended.

He was refused bail and will appear in Penrith Local Court today tomorrow.
