Man charged with indecent assault on train platform in Sydney

A man has been charged following an alleged indecent assault of a woman at Central Railway Station last year, NSW Police say.

Shortly before 7pm on Saturday 10 December 2016, a 21-year-old woman was sitting on a chair on a platform at Central Railway Station when a man allegedly approached her and indecently assaulted her.

The woman pushed the man away before alerting Sydney Trains staff who in turn contacted police.

Officers from Police Transport Command commenced investigations into the incident under Operation Artemis.

today, following investigations, Police Transport Command officers arrested a 32-year-old man at Auburn Police Station.

He was charged with assault with act of indecency, and was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Thursday 16 March 2017.
