Man critically injured after collision in Leopold

Police are investigating after a man was critically injured following a collision in Leopold this morning.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Melaluka Road and Bellarine Highway, following reports a motorcycle and a Isuzu D-max 4WD collided about 6.40am.

The male rider was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Isuzu, a 35-year-old Leopold man, was not injured and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Two passengers of the Isuzu were not injured.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are on route and investigations are ongoing.
