Man dies after two-vehicle crash - Hunter Valley

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in the Hunter Valley today.

About 12.55pm (Tuesday 7 March 2023), emergency services were called to the corner of Stanford and Deakin Streets, Kurri Kurri, following reports of a crash between a motorcycle and an SUV.

Despite the efforts of NSW Ambulance paramedics, the male motorcyclist died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 40s.

The 27-year-old male driver of the SUV was taken to John Hunter Hospital for treatment and for mandatory testing.

Police from Hunter Valley Police District established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist police.
