A man has died following a unit fire in Sydney's south west today.
About 5.20pm today (Tuesday 16 June 2026), emergency services were called to a unit block on Brown Road, Bonnyrigg, following reports of a fire.
Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and found smoke coming from the unit.
A man aged in his 80's was pulled from the building, with police commencing CPR before the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.
The man died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.
A crime scene has been established and investigations have commenced into the circumstances of surrounding the incident.
A report will be prepared or the information of the Coroner.
