Man dies in Doonside single vehicle crash

A man has died after a single vehicle crash at Doonside, in Sydney's north-west this morning.

About 1,30am today (Friday 13 September 2019), police and emergency services were called to Doonside Road, following reports of a car crash.

Upon arrival, officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command discovered a car had crashed into a pole and caught fire.

The driver, believed to be a man in his early 40s and the sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command are continuing inquiries into the circumstances leading up to the crash
