Man facing drugs, weapons and proceeds of crime charges at Tanilba Bay

A man has been refused bail after he was allegedly discovered in possession of methylamphetamine, weapons including an unauthorised firearm, and cash.

About 12:50am today (Tuesday 23 April 2019), officers stopped a white coloured Hyundai Sedan.

Following a vehicle search police discovered a package allegedly containing the drug ice. The driver, a 38-year old man, was also found to be allegedly in possession of more than $1800 in cash and weapons which included a knuckleduster, a knife and a gun.

The man was arrested and taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station.

He was charged with Possess Unauthorised Pistol, Supply Prohibited Drug, Deal with Proceeds of Crime, Possess Prohibited Weapon and Custody of a Knife.

He was refused bail and will appear in Raymond Terrace Local Court on Monday 6 May.
