Man hospitalised after serious assault, man charged at Bulli

A man remains in a serious condition after he was allegedly assaulted at Bulli earlier this week.

About 7am Wednesday 1 May 2019, a 75-year-old man became involved in a verbal altercation with a 25-year-old man over a parking issue in Hospital Road.

It is alleged the younger man struck the older man causing him to fall to the ground, hitting his head.

Emergency services attended the scene and the man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Wollongong Hospital. He was later transferred to Prince of Wales Hospital as his condition deteriorated.

A crime scene was established and an investigation commenced.

Yesterday (Thursday 2 May 2019), police attended an address at Campbelltown and arrested a 25-year-old man. He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and charged with reckless grievous bodily harm.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on 14 May 2019.
