Police are investigating a house fire at Churchable in the Lockyer Valley last night which left a man with life threatening injuries, Queensland Police say.
Initial information indicates around 11.58pm emergency services were advised of a fire at the Main Green Swamp Road property.
One occupant, a man was seriously injured while fleeing the burning house and was treated at the scene.
The 70-year-old man was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A woman who was also inside the residence at the time wasn’t injured.
The house was destroyed in the fire.
Police are guarding the house as detectives, forensics and scenes of crime officers attend.
Investigations are continuing.
