Man injured in North Adelaide crash, South Australia

A man has suffered serious injuries after a car hit a tree at North Adelaide overnight.

Just before 3am on Thursday 28 January, a Subaru wagon travelling east on Archer Street, failed to stop at the junction of LeFevre Terrace mounted the kerb and then hit a large tree in the parklands.

The driver and only occupant of the vehicle, a 36-year-old man from North Adelaide suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was conveyed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.

Police are investigating the circumstance of the crash, blood from the driver will be analysed to see whether alcohol and or drugs played a part in the crash.
