Man performs indecent acts, police probe in Marrickville

Officers from Inner West Police Area Command are seeking public assistance to identify a man who has been reported performing indecent acts in the Marrickville area, NSW Police say.

The first incident occurred about 3.40pm on Tuesday 27 November 2018, when a 10-year-old child was walking home from school on Ivanhoe Street, near Warren Road.

Police have been told the child saw a man performing an indecent act.

The second incident occurred about 8am yesterday (Wednesday 12 December 2018), when another child was walking to school and saw a man performing an act of indecency, also on Ivanhoe Street, near Warren Road, Marrickville.

Detectives would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

On both occasions the man has been described as being of Asian appearance, aged in his 50s, about 178cm tall with black hair and a thin build.

At the time he was wearing a pale or white long-sleeved button-up collared shirt with black or dark brown pants.
