Man shot - Villawood, NSW

Police are investigating after a man was shot in Sydney’s west last night, NSW Police say.

Shortly before 10pm today, police were called to Alcoomie Street, Villawood, after reports of a shooting.

Officers from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and located a 36-year-old man outside a home with a single gunshot wound to his arm.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical but stable condition.

A crime scene was established and examined by forensic specialists.

It is believed the incident was domestic related ant not involved in organised criminal activity.

The circumstances of the incident are still being investigated; however a 33-year-old man is currently assisting police with inquiries.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
