A man was arrested after a serious domestic assault at Birdwood overnight.
Police and paramedics were called to the Birdwood home about 11.10pm on Wednesday 1 September by reports of a violent altercation.
They found a 26-year-old man with a stab wound to the back. He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The injured man's father, a 62-year-old Birdwood man, was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault cause harm. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court today.
