Man Stabbed In Newtown

A man is in hospital and another is in custody following an alleged stabbing in Sydney's Inner West overnight.

Just after 10.30pm yesterday (Friday 5 June 2026), emergency services were called to a unit on Station Street, Newtown, following reports a 32-year-old man had been stabbed by a 54-year-old man known to him.

The 32-year-old was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to hospital in a stable condition.

The 54-year-old man was treated for minor injuries before he was taken to Newtown Police Station.

Officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
