Man stabbed, investigation commenced, NSW

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing of a man on the Central Coast overnight, NSW Police say.

About 11.50pm (Monday 17 December 2018), a 31-year-old man presented to The Entrance Police Station with a stab wound to his abdomen.

NSW Ambulance paramedics were called, and the man was treated before being air-lifted to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Early investigations have led officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District to establish a crime scene in the lower carpark of Toowoon Bay Beach, Toowoon Bay.

It’s believed the 31-year-old man was sitting in his car with a woman when they were approached by a man.

The man allegedly reached into the car and stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene.

The woman drove the victim to The Entrance Police Station where they sought treatment.

Investigations continue.
