Manly Beach has been voted in the Top 25 beaches worldwide and second in the South Pacific as part of the Best of the Best Beaches annual Travellers' Choice® Awards.
Northern Beaches Mayor Michael Regan said it was a fabulous honour to receive the award.
"This award probably won't surprise many locals who know the Northern Beaches is spoiled for choice when it comes to pristine beaches - any of our 24 ocean beaches could have made the top 25!
"Manly is also so much more than a beach stop with so much to do like surfing, snorkelling, bushwalking, stand up paddle boarding, sailing, cycling and visiting the Manly Art Gallery and Museum to name but a few. And not to forget the great shopping, cafes, restaurants and pubs to choose from.
"Manly has also hosted world class events like the Vissla Sydney Surf Pro, the Australian Beach Volleyball tour Volley Fest, and a number of local festivals including Manly Jazz and Taste of Manly and it's a World Surfing Reserve.

Australia dominated the list of the best beaches in the South Pacific for 2023, securing seven entries in the top 10. Cable Beach in Broome Western Australia was the only other Australian beach that made it into the Top 25 worldwide making it to third place while Manly Beach was ranked 13.
Manly Beach also ranked second in the South Pacific for 2023, attracting praise not only for its stunning natural beauty but also its proximity to world-class restaurants, shopping and recreation.
As one Tripadvisor reviewer noted, "Such a brilliant place to go to chill and enjoy. No doubt it's one of my all-time favourite places to be in Australia." @Lou Lou
