Just before 6am, a gold Toyota Camry sedan and a Mack truck towing three trailers, collided on Neaves road.
The driver of the Toyota - a 40-year-old man - was critically injured in the crash and died at the scene.
The 35-year-old driver of the truck sustained minor injuries.
