Maroondah City Council election results

Maroondah City Council elections were conducted by the Victorian Electoral Commission on 24 October 2020.

The declaration of the poll was conducted by the Victorian Election Commission and took place at 10am on Thursday 5 November, 2020.

Following are the nine Councillors declared for each of the new nine wards.

  • Barngeong Ward

    Marijke Graham (returned, former Wyreena Ward)

  • Bungalook Ward (uncontested)

    Tony Dib (returned unopposed, former Arrabri Ward)

  • Jubilee Ward

    Mike Symon (returned, former Mullum Ward)

  • McAlpin Ward

    Suzanne Stojanovic (newly elected)

  • Tarralla Ward

    Paul Macdonald (returned, former Arrabri Ward)

  • Wicklow Ward

    Tasa Damante (returned, former Wyreena Ward)

  • Wombolano Ward

    Kylie Spears (returned, former Arrabri Ward)

  • Wonga Ward

    Nora Lamont (returned, former Mullum Ward)

  • Yarrunga Ward

    Rob Steane (returned, former Wyreena Ward)

The first meeting of the new Council and the election of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor will take place at a Council Meeting to be held at 7.30pm on Wednesday 11 November 2020 (the meeting will be livestreamed, and managed according to COVID-19 restrictions).
