Murray River Council is taking several of its monthly council workshops on the road this year, with Mathoura next on the list on Tuesday 7 October.
Council workshops are less structured than the formal council meetings, offering more flexibility to set aside time to catch up with local communities.
Mayor, Cr John Harvie said there is a lot of value in travelling to different towns for meetings.
"It's a great chance for all councillors to get out and about to different areas of the council and see local projects, issues or developments first-hand."
"Visiting other locations also gives our community the opportunity to check-in with their councillors and gives us a chance to personally engage with local residents."
"We're inviting residents from Mathoura and surrounds to pop in for a quick lunch and chat next week, so we hope to see a few locals there."
Mathoura will host the Council workshop next Tuesday 7 October, 2025.
Community members are invited to attend lunch with the councillors for an informal meet-and-greet at the Mathoura Visitor and Business Centre, 12pm to 1pm.
A light lunch will be provided.
