Western Australia will again be the home of women's world-class football when the CommBank Matildas return for four international matches later this year.
The 'friendly' games will be played in June and July in Perth, with one match to be played in Bunbury, marking the first-ever Matildas fixture played in regional WA.
Tickets for the Matildas international series will go on sale from 13 May, with the Matildas taking on Slovenia and Panama in a two-match series:
- Thursday, 26 June - Matildas vs Slovenia (HBF Park, Perth);
- Sunday, 29 June - Matildas vs Slovenia (HBF Park, Perth);
- Saturday, 5 July - Matildas vs Panama (Hands Oval, Bunbury); and
- Tuesday, 8 July - Matildas vs Panama (HBF Park, Perth).
The matches will mark the Matildas' first return to Perth since the highly successful Olympic Qualifiers in October 2023, which generated over $4 million for the local economy and broke attendance records for a women's sporting event against the Philippines at Optus Stadium.
It will also be the last time fans can see the Matildas play in WA before the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026, with the WA series an important opportunity for the team to come together ahead of their AFC campaign.
The AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026 will kick off in Perth with Optus Stadium to host the tournament's official opening ceremony and the Matildas' opening match.

As stated by Tourism Minister Reece Whitby:
"Western Australians love the Matildas, and it's fantastic to welcome them back to Perth for another international series, building on the momentum of 2023's unforgettable Olympic qualifiers and FIFA Women's World Cup.
"These matches are not only exciting for local fans, but they'll also drive WA residents and out-of-State visitors into Perth and the South West, supporting tourism and hospitality businesses across the State during the winter period.
"Hosting the Matildas for the first time in regional WA is a huge milestone and shows our commitment to spreading the benefits of these major events beyond the metro area."
As stated by Sport and Recreation Minister Rita Saffioti:
"Hosting these events clearly has fantastic benefits for WA, bringing great value to our State's economy while providing our community the opportunity to experience international football right here in WA.
"Of course, we're particularly excited this time round to provide people living in the South West with the opportunity to see their idols play at Hands Oval in Bunbury without having to travel to Perth.
"We know how much Western Australians got behind the Matildas last time they were here for their Olympic Qualifiers, and we very much hope and expect thousands of fans to turn out again to support them in the lead up to the AFC Women's Asian Cup next year."
