Swan Hill Rural City Council and Swan Hill Regional Library are delighted to welcome bestselling rural fiction author Maya Linnell for a special author talk celebrating the release of her latest novel, Cockatoo Cove.

The event will take place on Thursday, 26 June at 2.30pm at the Swan Hill Library. Community members are invited to join Maya as she shares insights into her writing process, the inspiration behind Cockatoo Cove, and her experiences living and writing in rural Australia.

Camille Cullinan, Libraries Manager at Swan Hill Regional Library, said the event is a wonderful opportunity for readers to connect with one of Australia's most beloved rural storytellers.

"We're thrilled to host Maya Linnell and celebrate the release of Cockatoo Cove with our community," Ms Cullinan said.

"Her stories reflect the heart and soul of regional life, and we know our readers will be inspired by her journey and her characters."

Cockatoo Cove, releasing on 3 June 2025, is a heartfelt tale of resilience, family, and finding love in unexpected places—set against the stunning backdrop of South Australia's Limestone Coast.
