A Langwarrin man's car horn became an instrument of joy after a phone call revealed his $400,000 windfall in Saturday's TattsLotto draw  4447, drawn 2 March 2024. He was one of 13 national division one winners, securing a life-changing $407,625.80 prize after the $5.2 million jackpot split among the winners.

The regular player was about to hop out of his car to start his workday when he received a phone call from lottery officials revealing his newfound fortune.

“Woo-hoo! Fair dinkum!” he cheered.

“Woah, woah, woah. I can’t believe it.

“I am ready to start work, but maybe I’ll take the day off!

“That’s pretty serious! It’s all my boy’s numbers, so it makes this win pretty special.

“If you were here, I’d give you a big kiss!”

With more than $400,000 about to boost his bank account, the gleeful dad couldn’t wait to use his prize to spread the joy around.

“I’ll spread it around! Help the family!” he exclaimed.

“It will be a huge help.”

His winning marked System 8 entry was purchased at Langwarrin South General Store, Shop 1 143 Warrandyte Road, Langwarrin South.

Langwarrin South General Store owner Shane Chand said his team were so happy to have sold their first division one winning entry to a local customer.

“This is our first division one winning entry that we’ve sold, and we’re completely over the moon!” he said.

“Our customers will be shocked, but there’s no doubt they’ll be happy to hear their local newsagency had sold a division one winning entry.

“We pride ourselves in great customer service and we always make sure our customers have positive and amazing experience with us.

“Congratulations to the winning man and his family. We wish you all the best with your prize!”
