AlburyCity has assured the community that council will continue to provide all essential services throughout the state-wide lockdown period.
Mayor Kevin Mack said the vital services and facilities to keep the city functioning safely and efficiently would be delivered, although non-essential services would be temporarily closed.
"While most of our people will be working from home, team members who are critical to providing essential services will continue to perform their duties - in strict adherence to all public health requirements – to the usual high standards that the community requires," he said.
"This means that services such as waste collection, community safety and public health services will be provided in the usual way.
"Our Customer Service Centre in the Kiewa Street offices will be closed as we work to meet work from home requirements, but our customer service team will still be available to help the community via telephone or email.
"While I know this is a tough time for many of us, I'd like to reassure our community that Councillors and our teams are working together to keep the city operating effectively during these difficult circumstances and we will keep everyone updated as the situation develops."

"This is yet another challenge to Albury and surrounds in what's been a tough time for many, but I know we have a resilient and supportive community and I'm confident we'll all work together to get through this latest setback," Cr Mack said.
"I urge everyone to closely follow health advice and regulations, get vaccinated if possible, stay home and take care of each other, and to look out for family, friends and neighbours who may be struggling.
"We are in this together, and by continuing to support each other we'll be able to get through this challenge by following the health orders, supporting each other and staying safe."
