The Mayor's Christmas Carols returns for its 15th year with two free shows, star-studded entertainment and, for the first time, a Ferris wheel for little and big elves alike.
ARIA Award-winning singer Samantha Jade and powerhouse DJ Havana Brown will headline the carols on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November at HOTA, Home of the Arts.
Mayor Tom Tate said the annual event had grown significantly since its humble beginnings in 2011.
"For 15 years, the Mayor's Christmas Carols has brought our community together to celebrate the festive season, and this year's event will not disappoint," Mayor Tate said.
"There's plenty of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy, including performances by The Royal Australian Navy Band Queensland, and even Santa will make an appearance.
"The popular Warner Bros. Movie World's Looney Tunes Christmas Show will also return for another year."
Free tickets for the HOTA Outdoor Stage are limited and will be released in two rounds at 9am on Monday 26 October and 6pm on Tuesday 27 October.
"If you miss out on a ticket, pack a picnic blanket and still be part of the magic at the HOTA Parklands," Mayor Tate said.
"There'll be a family-friendly screening of the event on the big screens, with plenty of delicious food trucks and free Ferris wheel rides."
Hosted by 7NEWS' Amanda Abate and Chris Parsons, the main show runs from 6pm to 8:30pm, followed by a spectacular fireworks finale.
