Approximately 3:30pm on Tuesday 4 October 2016, Police and Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to a building fire on Consols Road, Meekatharra, WA Police say.
The building was extensively damaged by the fire and the estimated cost of repairs is in excess of $200,000.
Arson Squad investigators attended and the fire was deemed deliberate.
As a result of an investigation by Geraldton Detectives and Meekatharra Police, an 11 year old girl of Meekatharra has been charged with:-
•Criminal Damage by Fire and
•Without Lawful Excuse Trespassed on a Place.
She is due to appear before the Meekatharra Children’s Court on 1 November 2016.
