Melanie Fink speaks on Frontex's external relations at Jean Monnet Conference organised by Ankara University

On 17 March 2022, Ilke Göçmen from Ankara University organised a Conference within the framework of a Jean Monnet Chair on 'Legal Issues in Turkey - European Union Relations'.

The Conference focused on two particular aspects of current legal issues in the international relations between Turkey and the EU: migration and trade.

As part of the first panel on migration, Melanie Fink spoke on Frontex's cooperation with third states, focusing in particular on the legal framework and access to justice challenges. The presentation was based on a recent publication, co-authored with Narin Idriz on 'Effective Judicial Protection in the External Dimension of the EU's Migration and Asylum Policies?' that forms part of an edited volume entitled 'The Informalisation of the EU's External Action in the Field of Migration and Asylum' (edited by Eva Kassoti and Narin Idriz).
