Melton lights up this April

A stunning visual art display is coming to the City of Melton over three nights throughout April.

Renowned Australian visual artist Carla O'Brien will install 32 of her interactive neon installations in Melton for the community to enjoy.

Illuminate Melton will be installed at Melton's Clock Tower Amphitheatre (corner High and Palmerston streets) on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 of April from 4:30pm – 9pm, and along Bakery Square in Melton on Saturday 9 April from 6pm – 9pm.

There will be entertainment and activities available for the whole family. On Saturday night, you can get involved in mini golf, face painting, circus play space, silent cinema, roving hula hoopers and many other fun surprises.

Local food traders will also be open and available during the event.

City of Melton Mayor Cr Goran Kesic encouraged the community to view the neon installation and make the most of the free entertainment.

"It's fantastic to have the 'Illuminate' installation come to the City of Melton. This exciting display has previously been showcased at White Night in Melbourne so it's wonderful to bring it to our local community," Cr Kesic said.

"I hope you'll take the opportunity to make this most of this fun exhibit and free entertainment, and support some of our local businesses along the way."

Council presents this event with support from the Victorian Government's COVID Safe Outdoor Activation Fund 2021.
