Merriwa serious crash 8 November

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a serious crash that occurred in Merriwa yesterday, Sunday 7 November 2021.

About 7.35pm, a silver and blue Yamaha motorcycle travelling south and a blue Nissan Micra hatchback travelling north, both on Marmion Avenue, collided at the intersection of Marmion Avenue and Greyhound Drive.

The 22-year-old male rider of the motorcycle and a 19-year-old female passenger in the hatchback received serious injuries in the crash. They were both conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital.

Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for anyone who saw the crash, or the Yamaha motorcycle or the Nissan Micra travelling in the area prior to the crash, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
