A generous Merrylands woman is ready to fulfil her lifelong dream of giving back to her home town after her weekly Saturday Lotto ticket delivered a dazzling $1.25 million win.
The New South Wales resident held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4623, drawn Saturday 8 November 2025. She looks forward to $1.25 million.
As the winning entry wasn't registered to The Lott Members Club, we had been waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.
"I'm very happy today! I honestly can't put into words how I'm feeling," she laughed when we confirmed the million-dollar news.
"I've always wished of winning the lottery and now it has happened!
"I honestly haven't slept for days. I just can't believe it's real.
"I've been buying a small Saturday Lotto ticket for a couple of years.
"My dream has always been to give back to my home country. I want to help the children there who are very poor.
"I'm not going to tell many people, but I want to spoil my family in little ways."
Her winning entry was purchased at VitaLotto, 12/282 Chapel Road, Bankstown.
VitaLotto owner Tania Carrick shared she was over the moon when she discovered her store had sold its first ever division one winning ticket.
"We were so excited to hear that we sold a division one ticket in our store! We were jumping with joy when we first found out," she said.
