Meteorological Satellite Conferences Begin in Qingdao

On October 28, the 15th Asia-Oceania Meteorological Satellite Users Conference (AOMSUC) and the 2025 FENGYUN Meteorological Satellite International Users Conference (hereinafter referred to as "the Conference") opened in Qingdao, Shandong. The Conference focuses on the pivotal role of meteorological satellite technology in global early warning systems, aiming to further enhance the international application efficiency of Fengyun meteorological satellites and promote innovation and collaboration in the sharing of meteorological satellite data and services worldwide.

Dr. Abdulla Al Mandous, President of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) expressed in a video address that he was happy to see the Conference as an important annual platform and a great bridge between satellite operators and users for exchanging information and knowledge, for building a stronger working-together network, and more importantly for strengthening the collaborative spirits across Asia and Oceania regions and helps integrate your work even more into the global efforts led by WMO.

ZHANG Zuqiang, Deputy Administrator of the China meteorological Administration (CMA) expressed gratitude to all sectors for their long-term support to the FENGYUN meteorological satellite program and hoped that this conference would serve as an opportunity to actively advance the implementation of the United Nations'Early Warnings for All initiative, contributing even greater efforts to building a community with a shared future for mankind.
