MidCoast Community Drives Change

MidCoast Council

The MidCoast community is stepping up like never before to shape the future of our region. In 2025 alone, more than 9,537 engagements took place, making local voices heard and ideas count.

People across the MidCoast have been eager to provide feedback on a range of topics. Opportunities include pop-ups and drop-in sessions, hands-on workshops and Community Conversations. Many joined in facility tours and school events or visited Council pop-ups and the mobile water refill station at community gatherings.

In May, Council teams visited over 830 properties affected by floods, providing emergency and clean-up information.

Check out the 2025 statistics in the one-page snapshot document at the top of this page.

"Whether you connected with us online, dropped in via a pop-up, or rolled up your sleeves at a workshop, thank you for helping shape our shared future," said Council's Director of Liveable Communities, Paul De Szell.

Every piece of feedback matters. Engagement outcomes reports are published on the Have Your Say website, so participants can see exactly how their feedback is considered.

"We're committed to involving our community in decision making and being transparent about how your feedback influences outcomes," said Mr De Szell.

Looking ahead, Council is calling for even greater participation in 2026. The more voices involved, the stronger the future we build together.
