About 12:30am, a white Toyota Camry sedan and an E-scooter collided at the intersection of Toodyay Road and Roe Highway.
The driver of the Toyota Camry failed to stop and left the scene.
The male rider of the E-scooter sustained serious injuries and was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for medical treatment.
A man in his 20s is assisting Major Crash investigators with their investigation, and officers urge anyone who has information relating to this crash, or who saw either vehicle travelling in the area prior to the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online via www.crimestopperswa.com.au .
