The Minns Labor Government is continuing to support women's health and wellbeing with a $25,000 grant to the Australian Endometriosis Foundation to deliver a free health and fertility literacy program for women across the state.
To be held in-person and livestreamed, the Foundation's Freezer Friends program will provide more than 1,200 women with the knowledge, resources and confidence to make informed decisions about their fertility and reproductive health.
Participants will connect with expert fertility specialists and educators at a Sydney-based event on 28 November 2026.
There will also be tailored educational resources and on-demand recordings.
With an estimated one in seven Australian women affected by endometriosis, the program responds to a need for accessible, evidence-based fertility education and support.
It aims to help women engage confidently with healthcare services and connect with peer support networks.
By improving fertility health literacy and access to expert information, the Freezer Friends program will support young women with endometriosis to make informed decisions about treatment, study, work, family planning, career timing and long-term financial security.
The Australian Endometriosis Foundation is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run charity founded by Milli Weaver, NSW's 2026 Young Woman of the Year. The Foundation provides peer-led support and advocacy for young women with endometriosis.
Boosting women's health and wellbeing is one of the key focus areas in the NSW Women's Strategy with the Minns Labor Government delivering additional McGrath Breast Care nurses, increased funding for Women's Health Centres and Menopause Hubs and referral sites.
Supporting the Freezer Friends program is part of the NSW Government's overall work to prioritise improved health outcomes, wellbeing and access to information for women and girls across New South Wales.
