Hallam Learning Centre Reopens With Refreshed Spaces

Hallam Community Learning Centre officially reopened on Saturday 24 October, following the completion of upgrade works.

To celebrate the reopening, a family day was held at the centre, with City of Casey Mayor Cr Michelle Crowther, Cr Stefan Koomen, and Member for Narre Warren North Belinda Wilson in attendance.

The centre now has a larger and more functional kitchen, which provides more opportunities for cooking classes, community programs and social gatherings. The expanded meeting space creates a more comfortable and effective learning environment for current and future users, while necessary upgrades to the retaining wall and surrounding infrastructure was also completed.

Cr Crowther said the upgrades reflect Council's commitment to ensuring our community facilities remain welcoming, accessible and fit for purpose.

"The Hallam Community Learning Centre is a highly valued community hub that serves people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. It's where residents come together to learn, connect, build friendships and access support," she said.

"This redevelopment ensures the Centre can continue supporting the growing and diverse needs of the local community."

The upgrade of the Hallam Community Learning Centre was a jointly funded partnership between the City of Casey and the Victorian State Government through the Growing Suburbs Fund, with each contributing $410,000.
