Police are seeking public assistance to identify a man believed to have entered the Brisbane River near Southbank Parklands this afternoon.
Fears are held for his welfare as the man was seen by witnesses to enter the water at about 3pm and was not seen to exit.
He is described as mid 40's, 170cm tall, slight build, bald head wearing shorts.
A coordinated search, involving emergency services, PolAir, Water Police has been scaled back due to low visibility and is due to recommence tomorrow morning.
Police urge the man or anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact police.
